So, who is this Derik guy, anyway?
I'm an average guy with an average life who just happens to know a bit about tech and a little bit about music. IT guy by day and (very amateur) musician by night. Soooooooo original, eh? Meh, whatever.
A few other things too.
Alright, those aren't the only things. Outside of those, I have a loving fiance and two little cats (okay, one little named Eevee and one BIG...like 20 pounds named Link) that I spend time with. One day Link is going to rule the world, and we will all be forced to give him belly rubs. He will be a benevolent ruler. Mostly.
I'm also a sucker for horror anything. Movies, video games, etc. Favorite video game so far is Project Zomboid, and while I don't have a favorite movie specifically, I like to just sit back and rewatch The Last House on the Left on occasion. Huge shout out to the guy who just wanted to see the mermaid in action.

So anyway, the reason I am creating this blog is to have a place in text/image form where I can occasionally share tips and tricks on electronic music production, maybe a sprinkle or two about cloud computing, and sometimes just share some personal anecdotes on life.
